1. About the service

Kodstigen is a free web service where you can learn programming through lessons and quizzes. The service is provided by:

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.
Your account is personal. Keep your password secret and use a password you do not use anywhere else.
Contact us immediately if you suspect that someone else has used your account.

3. Acceptable use

You may not try to access other people's accounts, disrupt or overload the service, or use automated tools to collect content at scale. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

4. Content and copyright

The lessons are protected by copyright. You are welcome to use the code examples in your own projects and for teaching, but you may not copy or publish the lessons in full without permission.

5. Liability

We do our best to keep the content accurate and the service available, but we cannot guarantee that it is always error-free or available. Because the service is free, we are not liable for indirect damages to the extent permitted by mandatory law. Your rights under mandatory consumer protection law are not affected.

6. Personal data

How we process your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

7. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time under My account. Accounts that have not been used for 24 months are deleted automatically. We may also discontinue the service; if so, we will give reasonable notice.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on the site in advance.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes should first be resolved by contacting us. As a consumer you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (www.arn.se). As a last resort, disputes are settled by the Swedish general courts. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
